Water Sustainability SAVE OUR WATER!!!!!

Did you know you can only drink 0.6% of the water and half of the water is salty which is aroundabout 70 and 80%. So that is why we need to look after our water! What if all the water went away what would we do? we would die. So look after water. In newZealand  which is the dirteyist lake in the bay of plenty?Lake okaro its not good so we need to clean it out. can you gues wich is the deepest lake is? lake Rotomahana   125m deep! We protect our wetlands. We have terms dedicated to pollution prevention.Preventing pollution is very inportent -It is much harder to clean up waterways after they become dirty.  Did you know one bath is roundabout 20 15 or 10 litres. There about 30 40 milion people in the whole world people are born every secend and people die every secend. lake Rototua is a big foucs for us at the moment. We're trying to stop 320 tonnes of nitrogen from entering the lake by 2032.

Thats the weight of 53 elephants! It's important to look after the habitats of our freshwater creatures Native freshwater fish such as koaro are vital tothe health of our waterways

We  also work with other organisations like the Department of conservation to look after animals such as tuna (eels)

So hope you like lerning about watersustainability hope you  enjoy.
